Just when you thought your splurge mode from the holidays was complete, Cupid went and shot a stupid arrow right into your, well, you know….But honestly, who can resist a day that celebrates the people you love?  Yes, it may be full of cheesy commercials (that honestly make me gag and yell at the dumb woman saying a choked up “YES!” on a jewelry commercial), but I will gladly take a day to remind those loved ones how much I care!

These beauties have been making my apartment smell heavenly (dare I say even a little Parisian???) and now I just can’t wait for Valentine’s Day! Of course, I’ll be traveling for work, and will most likely be dining with clients and colleagues, who are great – but still….I’m celebrating early (and late when I get back) to make up for my absence. Happy Birthday (to ME) GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!

So maybe you heard, I had a birthday yesterday? No? Well, now you have!  Us Leos aren’t exactly known for being wallflowers….we love the spotlight and we love celebrating with those we are lucky enough to call friends and family.  On that note, I’m super excited to announce that as part of my birthday this year, I’m doing a few giveaways!

First up is a giveaway that starts today and goes till next Friday, being brought to you by a little hometown coffee company you may have heard of, Starbucks. :)

Is it possible? ANOTHER Giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s true, friends, I’m doing TWO giveaways in ONE week this week.  Why? Because we have something fun to celebrate!

Yours truly has started a fun side gig with a local newspaper, The Seattle Weekly.  Starting today, and coming out every Tuesday, I am writing a blog column, The Eatside, for Seattle Weekly’s food blog, Voracious.  I cover all things on the Eastside of greater Seattle (so that’s East of Lake Washington).
